Non lubricated bushing is used for severe stirring of parts and wear and tear of parts. These self lubricating bushings can withstand high temperatures and have high load bearing tolerances.

PTFE based metal polymer materials

Our metal-backed polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) polymer bushing material has a universal structure consisting of steel linings bonded to a porous bronze sintering layer. The bronze sintered layer is impregnated and covered with a filled PTFE bushing liner. The steel backs provide mechanical strength, while the bronze sintering layer provides a strong mechanical connection between the backing and the bushing lining. This structure promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These PTFE linings have very low friction.

Metal polymer materials based on Thermoplasticity

The AST20 series has a similar structure to the PTFE-based materials mentioned above; however, for this series, the bushing lining is composed of filled thermoplastic extrusion tape. The AST 20 Sereies are very similar to DX < brand bushings in structure and often provide better value in place of DX bushings. These materials are usually designed for edge lubrication. AST20 usually provides a uniform dent pattern on the surface of the bushing as grease storage.
