What Should I Pay Attention To When Using Composite Bearings?

- Jan 08, 2019-

Bearings are fine parts, so they are required to be cautious when using composite bearings, that is, the use of high-performance bearings, assuming improper use, can not reach the expected performance, and easy to damage the bearings. Therefore, the use of bearings should pay attention to the following:

First, adhere to the cleaning of the bearing and its surroundings

Even if the invisible smile of the naked eye enters the bearing, it will increase the wear, vibration and noise of the bearing.

Second, you must be serious when using the device

Strong stamping is not allowed, the hammer is not allowed to directly hit the bearing, and the dry bearing is not allowed to transmit pressure through the rolling element.

Third, the use of appropriate, accurate device tools

Try to use special tools to prevent the use of cloth and short fibers.

Fourth, to avoid bearing corrosion

When taking the bearing directly by hand, wash the sweat on your hands and apply high-quality mineral oil before stopping the operation. Pay special attention to rust prevention during the rainy season and summer.

However, under certain special operating conditions, the bearing can achieve a longer life than traditional calculations, especially under light load conditions. These special operating conditions are such that when the rolling surfaces (tracks and rolling elements) are effectively separated by a smooth oil film and the contaminants are confined, the appearance may be destroyed. In fact, under ideal conditions, the so-called Eternal bearing life is possible.

Bearing life

The life of a rolling bearing is defined by the number of revolutions (or the number of hours of operation at a certain speed). Bearings within this life are subject to initial fatigue damage (flaking or missing) on any of their bearing rings or rolling elements. However, in laboratory experiments or in theoretical applications, it can be clearly seen that under the same working conditions, the same bearing has the same theoretical life. In addition, there are several different definitions of the bearing "life", one of which is the so-called "working life", which means that the theoretical life that a bearing can reach before it is damaged is caused by wear and damage, usually not caused by fatigue, but It is composed of wear, corrosion, seal damage and so on.

The slewing bearing device application clarification book:

     1 slewing bearing device

Before the slewing bearing device, it is necessary to stop the inspection of the device surface of the main machine, and the support member should have sufficient strength, the joint surface should be machined, and the appearance is smooth without debris and burrs. Regarding the flatness that cannot be stopped by the arrival of machining, it is possible to use a special plastic with a large injection strength as a filler to ensure the accuracy of the plane of the device and to reduce vibration.

The ferrule bearing ferrule has a quenching soft belt zone, which has the mark "S" on the end face of the ferrule, and the device should be placed in the non-load zone or the non-frequent load zone (the plug hole is always located in the soft Belt). When installing the slewing bearing, first stop the radial positioning, insert the tightening device bolts, and check the bearing rotation. When tightening the bolts, there should be sufficient pre-tightening force, and the pre-tightening force should be 70% of the bolt data's compliance limit. The device bolts shall be equipped with a tempering flat washer and the use of a spring washer is strictly prohibited.

2 slewing bearing maintenance

After 100 hours of continuous operation, the slewing bearing that is installed and put into operation should thoroughly check whether the pre-tightening torque of the device bolt can meet the requirements, and repeat the above inspection every 500 hours after continuous operation.

The slewing bearing device should be filled with a smooth amount of smooth grease at the end, and the side slewing bearing should be filled to make the smooth grease evenly spread. After the slewing bearing has been working for a period of time, it is unavoidable to lose a part of smooth grease. Therefore, smooth grease should be added once every 50-100 hours of the slewing bearing in normal operation.

3 The transportation and storage of the slewing bearing shall be placed on the vehicle during transportation. Measures shall be taken to avoid sliding and avoid vibration, and if necessary, auxiliary support shall be added.

Bearings should be placed on a monotonous, ventilated and leveled site and stored separately from chemicals and other corrosive items. If multiple sets of bearing stacks are required, more than three equal height wooden blocks should be placed in the circumferential direction between each set, and the upper and lower blocks should be placed in different positions. Bearings that need to continue to be stored beyond the anti-rust period should be re-supplied for cleaning and anti-rust treatment.
